Work & Experience

06/13 - present

e-Strategy Ltd Web Developer

At e-Strategy I am involved in many different areas of the business. I plan, develop and manage a variety of projects including websites, apps, newsletters and more. This involves working closely with our designer and clients to deliver outstanding work.

Being involved in other areas of the business such as app development and marketing allows me to create small web applications, and optimise landing pages and newsletters for better conversions and engagement. During these projects and campaigns I have developed not only my web development skills but have also improved server administration and marketing skills.

Taking care of support for clients, web builds, web applications, newsletters and more within a busy office environment has enabled me to greatly improve communication, prioritisation and time management skills.

Key Clients: English Riviera Tourism Company, Visit Plymouth, Premier Cottages, Johns Associates, Ski Famille & Riverford Organics.
Main Duties: Web Builds, Newsletter Builds and Monthly Sends, Support Requests, Web App Development & Social App Implementation.

Aardvark Gibraltar Web Project

During university seized every opportunity to create websites and further my web development skills. Prior to university all my skills were self taught it was great to finally put them to use on real projects.

Using these projects, in particular the Aardvark Gibraltar project, was the best method to gain experience on managing a project form start to finish. Although design, in particular branding and print, was not my speciality I enjoyed the opportunity to advance my creative skills in designing Aardvark Gibraltar’s logo, business cards and website. Developing the website came natural to me and allowed me to utilise my self-taught web development skills.

My interests overlap with my skills, I enjoy web development and the challenging problem solving aspect that programming brings. I am always broadening my skills even further within my own time. I subscribe to many inspirational developers who publish new workflow techniques and the best coding practices.

I also have a passion for music, both listening and creating it. I am self-taught in playing guitar and drums and before university played in a local band.
